Do you want to iphone?

Thoese days, general trandition Smartphone!
You have Smart phone, now? I don't have Smartphone!
It functions as a cellular phone, television, portable computer, camera, camcorder, navigator, MP3 player and walkie-talkie. Among them the most illustrious were iPhone.
Specially, iphone is emerge as the leader in the Smartphone market. So, iphone combines all characteristics. First, the Internet Experience. Using the Internet is much slicker with the latest version also; however, it's missing some important features. Even though much improved, the BlackBerry mobile Web experience is still weak compared to the iPhone. Every time you sync the iPhone with your computer, it updates all your favorites from your laptop. Every location in your favorites list is now also on your iPhone, and that makes life online so much easier. You can really get work done, quickly and easily. Apple offers the best Internet browser. Second, Email, Apps, GPS, Music. Email on all three of these devices is excellent and fast. GPS works great on all the devices and networks -- although it is still tough to talk and turn right at the same time. I still prefer a real GPS unit attached to the windshield, but at least you always have this feature when you need it. Listening to music is easier on some devices than others because of the player and the amount of storage space. Some love Apple's iTunes, but there are other great players if that is crucial. Of course, this is not an important feature for the vast majority of Smartphone users.
Finally, Set Your Priorities. Each person has different wants and needs. Make a list and stick to it. It makes choosing much easier. Some of today's best-selling devices are powered by Google's Android OS. They seem to be everywhere. There's a variety of devices from several handset makers to choose from. Every major network, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint (NYSE: S) and T-Mobile offers Android Smartphone, and I expect the list of devices to keep growing. The Apple iPhone has been around for about four years, and the fourth version is now available. If Apple were to add one more feature like letting me sort my many memos alphabetically then it could be my perfect choice. Are you getting my point?

There are so many items to consider on so many devices. The problem is finding all the features you want working well on one device. So take your time and sort through all the choices. Eliminate the ones that just don't meet your needs. Then you can more easily pick a device from a shorter list that you will really love using.

My lovely Shabu Shabu!

Do you like Shabu Shabu?

'Shabu Shabu' is Japanese food and its name means 'laping' in japanese. People blanch meat, vegetables and seafood in boiling meat broth and eat them. According to one opinion, this dish was first made in a battlefield when Chingiz Khan ruled the continent. Soldiers cooked lamb and vegetables by using their helmets on the spot.

Various ingredients can be included in Shabu Shabu. First, you should put vegetables and meat slices in boiling meat broth. Because beef stock and the water of vegetables make the meat broth more clean and delicious. Next, put seafood, and noodles, finally.

I first knew this dish when I just graduated from high school. It was a very cold winter. After having a graduation ceremony, I and my friends were really sorry to say goodbye. So we went to a Shabu Shabu restaurant. It was kind of a buffet. People could serve food themselves and make their own Shabu Shabu. As it was the last time with my high school friends, so this dish has remained as a delicious dish in my memory.

Yesterday evening was very cold and my mom said she wanted to eat hot food. Then Shabu Shabu came accross in my mind. So I suggested her to go to have Shabu Shabu together. My mom agreed, and we went to a Shabu Shabu restaurant near our apartment.

The restaurant that my mom and I went to was really crowded. The winter is coming and maybe people wanted to have hot meals like my mom. We barely had a seat and had delicious hot Shabu Shabu. I was happy when shrimp was changed its color into red in the boiling meat broth. Haha:)

Whenever I eat Shabu Shabu, it brings back such happy memories. It's a heart-warming dish to me. Why don't you try Shabu Shabu this upcoming winter? Have a warm winter with hot Shabu Shabu. :)

Free Market

Have you been free market near Hong-Ik University? Exactly, the free market opens in playground in front of Hong-ik. I went to there at last Saturday. Its one of my favorite places because I like handicraft items which are special and rare. There are many artists for selling what they made themselves not only accessories but also painting, hand-writing, books and drawing customers face in there.

The reason, I like the place is, I can communicate with artists. In other words, I can feel their feeling and emotion through their crafts. In my case, the crafts that I bought are more valuable when I communicated with them. Also you cant find those things wherever because the artist made only ONE for ONE.

At the side of the playground, there is a small music performance by who want to sing and playing.
(In third picture, who is playing guitar on right side is my friend!)

I can feel FREE in the market. Everyone who participate the market, think outside of the box when they create music or crafts. Im not sure the meaning of Free Market but I think the free mean is no restriction and no restraint to create something.

Here is the website of Free Market.
If you want to join as an artist, you have to apply before in the website.

Asian Games

Guangzhou held the Asian Games in 2010. So, these day, Asian Games is hot issue!

Taekwondo has become a Korean national sport. It was adopted as a competitive sport in the Asian Games. However, A Taiwanese taekwondo competitor at the Asian Games has been disqualified after extra electronic sensors were found in her socks. The sensors detect when competitors score points by landing kicks and punches on their opponent's body.
Additional sensors could make point-scoring easier.
Yang Shu-chun had been one of the favourites for the gold medal and says she is innocent. A Taiwan official said her disqualification was "unfair".
Taiwan's top sports body immediately voiced its concern over the ruling.
"The technical committee did not allow Taiwan's team a chance to explain before making the decision and we regret the unfair ruling," said the Sports Affairs Council.
The use of such sensors in the fighters' socks was introduced to make judging more transparent.Judging controversy
Yang Shu-chun was leading by 9-0 against her Vietnamese opponent Thi Hau Vu, when the match was halted.
The fight was for a place in the quarter-finals of the under 49kg (108lb) division.
Match officials said her footguards carried unauthorised extra electronic sensors behind the heel.
Ms Yang and her coach protested her innocence and both refused to leave the competition area.
Taiwan officials said the equipment had been previously approved.
"The footwear passed the original pre-match checks but during the match, when she was leading 9-0, the officials decided the footwear was unacceptable," said Taiwan team official Tang Hui-ting.
"This kind of footwear is made by a major company and we have used it before in competition," she said.
The World Taekwondo Federation defended its decision, saying the extra sensors had been removed from Ms Yang's socks before the match, but had been fixed back on.
It is the first major judging controversy at the Asian Games, which is taking place in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou.
The Teawondo sense patch problem by the Taiwon became a diplomatic issue.

Do you like a webtoon?

Do you like cartoons? These days, we can see many cartoons on the Internet. There is a different name for cartoons on the Internet. It's 'Webtoon'.

'Webtoon' is a compound word and it is formed from the words 'web' and 'cartoon'. It means cartoons on the Internet which are made with multimedia program. You know, Kang Pool is one of the famous webtoonists in Korea. Webtoons made by him like 'The apartment', 'The fool' are really popular. Some of them were made into movies and plays.

There are lots of webtoons on the Internet and I like reading webtoons. It is more colorful than usual cartoons and stories are more realistic. As webtoonists express their everyday life on it generally, it arouses sympathy from people and the people can express sympathy by making comments on webtoonists' blogs.

My favorite webtoon is 'The real-objective fairy tale'. Have you seen it?
The author's nickname is Mujuck Pink and she is just 21 years old. She reconstitutes well-known fairy tales into her own creative webtoons. Her webtoons are not only funny, but also satirical. She satirizes our society and wins the sympathy from many people. Sometimes her webtoons touch the heart of people. These are why I like her.

When I first read her webtoon, I guessed the author is a man. Because the webtoon is really cynical and the picture is not pretty, actually. After I searched the author on the Internet, I could know the author is just a girl who is the same age with me. Now she is studing design in Seoul university.
A thousand hearings are not worth one seeing. You can see her webtoons through here. :)
By the way, what do you think of webtoons?

Coffeeholic

Written by A Ryeon, Ji

Do you like coffee? Nowadays, there are many café and coffee shop which have different concept in everywhere. It means, many people are becoming enjoying the coffee not only women but also men. Just few years ago, every man around me didnt like to drink coffee or beverage at coffee shop. They couldnt understand why we should have paid for coffee with expensive cost. However, we can see many people of any gender or age in there.

Because I like coffee so much, I drink more than two cup of coffee everyday. To put it simply, when Im thirsty I find coffee, not water. The taste of coffee what I prefer changes according to my mood. When I get a lot of stresses, I prefer sweet coffee which put in sugar and cream. But, normally, I drink Americano without sugar. Oh, do you know how you can drink a coffee deliciously? Bitter coffee and sweet chocolate are perfect match to eat! So when I order Americano Ive never forgotten to order a piece of cake which is sweet or tasty of dark chocolate.

Ohm I seem to hear and smell someone is brewing coffee, while I write it. I cant wait to drink todays second coffee!

The most delicious bibimbap in the world.

Why don't you invite your friends over on the weekend and make Bibimbap dishes with them?

My friends get together to make and eat Bibimbap on the weekend.

Put the rice in a large bowl and simply make it using all side dishes found in my refrigerator, so you can take care of the left overs.

And enjoy eating Bibimbap with my friends~!

Now I wold like to introduce Bibimbap that I enjoy often. Because it's make easy.

I use different ingredients depend on my mood. You can always use left over rice.

Then add bean sprouts, carrots, cycymbers, egg fry and mix them all with very spicy red pepper paste.

Another reason is I lazy and it is very delicious.

Bibimbap, a bowl of various nutrients necessary for a balanced meal that's balanced and well kown.

I think Bibimbap, which is the most excellent and delicious food among Korean tranditional foods.

My Every Other Saturday.

Written by A-Ryeon, Ji

From this semester, Ive volunteered one of the Saturday programs for handicapped children. When they dont go to school every 2nd and 4th Saturdays, we gather to do scheduled activity at Daegu University. We make drawing, perform Korean drum, hold a sports day and tour where children want to go.

A team is comprised with one volunteer and one child. Every other Saturday, we meet near child home, every morning start picking him up. My partner child is 15 and he has a speech disorder. He is an introvert person so I spent long time to become friends with him. At the first time, He said only I dont know or No. Hed never showed his feeling and opinion to me. But, nowadays he talks a lot with jokes.

Before, I didnt think much about handicapped peoples inconveniences to live in our society because it was not my problems. However, after I meet them, Im becoming more sensitized to their problems. People can not divide with normal and handicapped. I felt that we are not different, they can think and feel like you. So we have to respect them as a same person because they also hurt when you look them strange or belittle them. I hope the day will come early that PEACE To everyone & In everywhere .

Do you know 'Tuna's tears alcohol'?

Have you heard about 'Tuna's tears alcohol'?
In Korean, it is called '참치눈물주'.

A few days ago, in an English grammar class, my partner asked me what is unusual food or drink that I've had. So I answered "I've tried Tuna's tears alcohol". Then she was embarrassed. "What on earth is that?"

When I was a high school student, my mom and I were invited to an extremely expensive Japanese restaurant by my mom's friend. We had a full-course Japanese meal. As I really like Japanese food, I was enjoying lots of nice dishes. Then a waiter came to our room and gave us 3 cups of alcohol. It was a really small quantity and clear colorless liquid. The waiter said it is 'Tuna's tears alcohol'.

EH?? We were really surprised. I've never seen crying fish and it's impossible to make fish cry. (Someone in the class also said like this) I wondered why it is called like that. The waiter explained about it with a smile.

Tuna's tears alcohol is made of the eye lens of tuna. They mash the eye lens and mix it with soju. You know, fish's eyes are well known as a great dish. Fish's eyes are full of vitamin E and other good nutrients like gelatine, collagen are contained. Japan is the number one country for consuming tuna in the world, so this dish is well known in Japan.

It tastes, so to speak, little salty. Though it is alcohol, it is more mild than soju. Well, I can't explain it well. Just try it if you have a chance to go to Japanese restaurants:)

My college life

When I stay by myself, I think about the collge life.
When I first came to the college, I was fulfilled with an excitement.
I also had the pressure to achieve my expectation like the life of college in TV.
The Department did not have a lot of our people. So there was no department within the club.
So, I want to have good social life with many people, I apply to two clubs which are Badminton clubs and travel clubs.
I try to have the good relationship with friends and participate in the club activity.

It was an interesting experience in extracurricular activities.
From the college life, I have the two goals
First of all, I want to study my special education major.
Second reason is increasing my English ability.
My pursuing college life is like what I had on middle and high school life. I don't get stress and pressured from the SAT. I want to study something I want for joyful and just enjoy the college life.
I want to enjoy the school MT, athletic competition and parade. When I have the test, I will become assiduous student.
During the vacation, I want to work and make a money. With that money, I want to concentrate on my college life.

Also, I don't want to have a corrupted life even time pass on, I want to be a dilligent student.
Even though I can't get the scholarship, I want to have good grade which I will not get the embarrass.
To have learn a great teaching from college, the college acknowlege will be helpful for my future and become a great person in the future.

I have a dream. My dream is I don;t want to regret my college life from the beginning of now til my graduation.
To do this, I have to work hard.

I'm lost in playing.

Written by A-Ryeon, Ji (Diana)

I have some hobbies which are make something to use fabrics, accessories and teddy-bears. I liked to do, so I used to spend whole days to make them often. However, it is being change a little because, I don't have enough time anymore to make something during this semester. So I start TWO new simple hobbies and it can be explained the word "Playing".

I've been interested in instruments since when i was young because of my mother. She wants we(I and my sister) can play any instruments whenever our feeling is gloomy or good. So she has supported to learn various instruments. Recently, I bought "Ukulele" which is similar with guitar but there are four-strings and smaller. I'm beginner player now, but I want to be a good player someday. I will play when i want to show my feelings indirectly.
The another is watching a drama, the title is "90210". The story is about high school students' lives in Berverly Hills. I had fun watching "gossip girl" before, that's why '90210' still has fun for me and I think it is easier to understand than 'gossip girl' without subtitle. When I was playing it, I can NOT stop to play. So I already missed some schedules.
However, nowadays I don't have enough time to enjoy them because of exam for graduation. I don't want to be a person who can't enjoy my hobbies because of fulled schedule. So I use my limited time efficiently.

I'm studying for a special teacher

My major is Special education and I'm studying for teacher certificate exam these days to be a teacher. Whenever I meet new people, most of them don't know about 'special education' well. They say "I know what the education is, but what the 'special' means?" Speical education is education which is for students who need special things. For example, gifted students and handicapped students need more different things than other students. But mostly, it is intended for handicapped students.

I'm studying about visual and hearing impairments, autism, learning difficulties, speech disorders and things like that. All the students who have these things need little speical things for learning. Other subjects, for example, behavior modification, teaching machines, laws are also necessary for the exam. There are always lots of things to study and it sometimes gives me a headache. Now I'm thinking it positively, however. My goal is to be a teacher and I think this exam is just a process for achieving my goal:)
